Air conditioner exhaust touching wall, risk of fire?

Yeah it's not remotely close to hot enough to cause a fire but that crushed bend at the end may robbing you of efficiency. I would have cut that rigid duct piece shorter so there was more clearance there for a more gradual bend.

Vizio Sound Bar - Main Circut Board ( Is ruined ? ) Help

Generally the thing to do is post high resolution pictures of the front and back of the entire PCB, at a 90' angle and both oriented the same. This lets people start out with a better understanding of what they're dealing with and provides a map for where each zoomed in area is. I can't advise...

    Electronic Shop for Rent

Heh, so you're hoping someone will want to live in your workshop, pay you to do so, and then build everything for you? Is your name Santa by chance? I get the feeling that you live in the hills of W. Virginia and anyone who shows up, gets disappeared in the woods there. ;) Your best bet is...

    Samsung Syncmaster 740BF repair

Your picture could be a lot larger, but BD looks like a ferrite bead to me. How about this? https://www.digikey.co.za/products/en?keywords= FSDM0565RBWDTU or this https://za.rs-online.com/web/p/intelligent-power-switches/6710163/ I don't know how to use Mantech's website, or they don't show...

RCA out to 1/8" headphones on Vizio smart TV - clipping/distortion?

Yeah, get a little $5 headphone amp board off eBay, most of which don't have RCA inputs (mechanically, connection speaking) and add some panel mount RCA jacks bought seperately and solder them to the input pins. Power it with a typical 12V AC-DC adapter which you might already have spares of...

Help Identifying 30 Pin PCB Connector?

I'm confused. If you don't know which connections you need, what good would having a ribbon cable with the mating connector do? Seems like it would be easier to keep both boards and add any addt'l circuitry you want into the original amp case, or to buy a ready-made or built-it-yourself amp...

Electric ICE Exhaust Cut-out... why? and how?

I am not excusing them blinding you. I'm in favor of them being stopped and the vehicle towed if they cannot operate it to continue driving without the excessive lighting (for example in cases where it's an aux light bar and they can just switch it off). Trying to point your own light source...

Electric ICE Exhaust Cut-out... why? and how?

Constructing a device to reflect headlamps back at people is dangerous, and possibly illegal. They might even veer right, start to go off the side of the road, over-correct and ram head-on into you. The solution is not to cause even more blinded drivers. It won't make people change their...

    Need help finding power supply

You're far more likely to find the entire power board OR the entire product as salvage and pull the power board or just transformer (since the transformer itself is an unlikely failure point) out of it. I second duke37's question, what led to the conclusion that the transformer failed, how did...

Need cover housing for a speaker of 30mm

If all you mean by "housing" is a foam cover for it, just buy a cheap pair of headphones and take the foam covers off of them. If you instead mean that you need something that the speaker sits in and that the foam cover attaches to the front of, how about a plastic food container(salad...

    Wiring 5v to a 12v powersupply

What EXACTLY are you doing? Not a summary, not a type of thing, but exactly what are you powering, including pictures and/or links? There is no need to go through any of this just to produce heat. A mere resistor connected to 12V will do that more efficiently at the single point where it's...

    Wiring 5v to a 12v powersupply

Yes you could put two in parallel, but as you increase current doing so, note the temperature rise of the regulator board. It is within the specs of the module but those specs may not be very conservative for the design as-implemented on that tiny circuit board with limited heatsinking. In...

    Wiring 5v to a 12v powersupply

On that listing it states "Note: We do not offer this item to the state of Illinois, US. , we don't offer, don't sell and don't ship to the state of Illinois,US." Never seen anything like this before and I'm not in IL but it makes me wonder, does IL have some kind of applicable restrictions...

Newbie - attempting to repair Ford circuit board

Whip out the soldering iron, desolder one leg of each capacitor in question, then you have it out of circuit and can measure it. Hemostats or a thin/micro needle nose pliers can make this easier to pull the lead out, but even a toothpick can work. The 100uF large electrolytic cap is really the...

Newbie - attempting to repair Ford circuit board

You appear to be in the US. Slosh modules are not hard to find in the US. By just doing a google search for "Ford Slosh Module" I get the first row of hits as 4 of them for sale, one with a different pinout but the other 3 look right for your application, but with one difference, that your...

Yes they work without the backlight and reflective/diffusion/etc light filtering/spreading... you just won't be able to SEE what they're doing. o_O Despite all the text written previously, this topic is not progressing in a logical attach at the problem and solution. Why would there be no...
