Help! Repairing water damaged PCB from Massage chair.

I'm here. some other things: Where is the "display" located? where is it connected to? Where is the remote(wired?) connected to? Are there any buttons on the chair or it is entirely operated by the remote? Please show on the board.

    Temperature and Thermometers

1.If by "scales" they mean Celsius and Fahrenheit the answer is -40F=-40C 2. Not so clear: "what will be the temperature indicated on the resistance scale? "

Help! Repairing water damaged PCB from Massage chair.

I wouldn't try to change the Socket (all of it or some pins ) yet, just clean it the best you can. The main issue is deciding if the IC is Bad or good. I do think it is Bad, but not yet 100% sure. You say it is partly working - display is changing when you press something, was this this...

O.k. So basically the same as in the board ,with #4 open(O.L) not 0 ohm. Don't sure what to make of the differences between the pins ohm measurements now. please measure IC pin 2-6, ohm test to gnd ,what do you get? I would do an ohm test at the socket with the IC out ,like that: Board GND...

Help! Repairing water damaged PCB from Massage chair.

Well, Bluejets has a very good point. So, without the Ic your are getting O.L(open circuit) on all 4 points? You cleaned The IC but it's legs are very corroded. Clean the socket and under it as well. Please check the following points on the IC itself to GND (ohm test),as on the pic what do...

O.k so #4 is shorted to GND. Do you know how to remove the IC from it's socket (have you ever done such a thing?).

Relay 1, 31KΩ Relay 2, 94KΩ Relay 3, 3.6 MΩ Relay 4. 0Ω Well the spread is too large to make sense. but # 4 =0 is a short to GND and that is wrong.(Are you sure it is number 4 and not 1?)

Help! Repairing water damaged PCB from Massage chair.

o.k so on the main board (with the controller board disconnected) we get 1= 7.5KΩ 2= 3.8KΩ 3= 3.99KΩ 4= 3.99KΩ 2-4 are fine (2x2k=4k). 1 is wrong ! needs checking of resistors values near 1 with the ommeter. What do you get if you measure the same points on the Controller board(cable between...

Can you show a poho of the DMM you use for ohm test? Are you saying that on both boards when they are disconnected from each other you are getting 0 OHM red-points to GND?
