    Can you check the voltage drop with a DDM?. What cable are you using for the 12v cams?. You can adjust some buck/boost converters, so voltage drop could be compensated for. Martin

    Have a look on EBay for 12v remote relay board. These have remote fobs and 1 or more channels/relay outputs. Then, your imagination can run wild. Lots of boards/modules for sound and flashing lights etc. Just have fun with your son building and wiring it. Why not put a car CD player in too...

    Hi , what filters did you try? Can you link to them?. You may need an in line filter between the turntable and amp. These can be bought with RCA’s for direct in-line coupling. Depending on your audio setup, you can also install these filters between a mixer and amp. Martin

    The oxidation was probably due to age but electrolytic caps dry out over time and can become ‘resistors’ or ‘short circuits’ causing all sorts of problems. Glad it’s working now. Don’t forget to clean all switches and potentiometers too. Martin
