    Hard to tell without a print. You could try and draw one yourself from tracing wires, tracers on back of pcb and the components on the other side. If your thinking you will just jumper a few wires to get it going, I am doubtful that is the case. Missing board is likely a pulse width modulation...

    I agree, theoretically it could draw twice the current at the lower voltage without exceeding the va rating of the transformer. Also, USA household voltage is 120v and running at 60hz. (Your xformer is 50hz?) But should still be about half.

    I see big relay nc contacts as 1 and 5 and the other nc contacts as 2 and 6. If your getting continuity across 3 and 4, your likely reading through another component on the pcb.     Sounds like a shorted component somewhere, but without a print to look at its going to be very hard to find. You could start by checking the diodes and transistors for shorts. Remember to unsolder one side of diodes to isolate it from the rest of the circuit, before testing.

    How about using a dvm, set to peak hold on current, in line with one of your loads? This should catch which part of the circuit is overloading. I'd also check that the relay has good suppression parallel to it.

    Tell us what your trying to do, and why you need verify the plug is attached. Perhaps the current can be detected by a ct downstream? Also curious about where your located to better understand voltage configuration.

    Once you start modifying building wiring you are stepping on the rules of your local electrical codes. I know in the states this would be a violation, unless your device has been approved by a nationally recognized testing agency, and its installed and used within the listing instructions.

    :(Probably not, you could try gluing it, but your probably screwed. Do you really want to trust a gps unit when your out of town somewhere, that's held together with scotch tape and glue? I'd pitch it.

    How much current does the solar put out? What kind of battery?

    If you are dealing with high wattage solar panel, or a pv array the regulator and relay might be the way to go. From first glance, looks like you have a small panel charging a small radio.

    I would not use relays, but install a diode inline with the solar panel. That would allow the battery to charge from solar during daylight, but also stop discharging current in the opposite direction.
