What can I do with this motor?

Hi Guys, I have a motor out of whirlpool condenser dryer. If you google: C.E.SET cpi 2/55 132/IRA-F1 It shows up. I have always wanted to experiment with generators but have never find the right motor. Can someone tell if this one can be used as a generator? If not what types should I be...

    Laptop Doesn't Turn On

Hey Guys, My laptop went dead yesterday, my girlfriend plugged everything in then put the plug in halfway by accident. This couldn't have gone good. The laptop adapter still outputs the 20v it needs. When plugged in the laptop battery charging light flickers orange and wont stay solid green...

Laptop Seems 'Dead' won't turn on

I've found it difficult following the trace on the board, I'm not sure which components regulate the supply.

Laptop Seems 'Dead' won't turn on

Hello Guys, I have a laptop I'm looking at for my friend. It doesn't show any life at all. You plug the adapter in and the battery light indicator doesn't show that it's charging. And when you try turn it on, nothing happens. I've tested the dc adapter and am getting the appropriate 19.5v so...

    Battery Voltage Drop

Hey Guys, I gave the battery a full charge cycle, including the appropriate extra time for efficiency losses. I now have a steady 6.2v. Thanks guys!

    Battery Voltage Drop

I see three cells none with any signs of bulging, how do I rule out the possibility of sulphation. Will a full charge cycle then a test again of the output voltage work? It would good to learn how to test these batteries properly with guidance.

    Battery Voltage Drop

Hi Guys, I have a battery which is supposed to show 6v on the output when charged, but is only showing 4v. I noticed that the charging voltage should be 7.2v-7.5v however the adapter which is being used has 6v output. So just to verify, If i use a 7v adapter to charge my battery will my...

    Op Amp for speaker circuit

I found a nice diode, my voltage dropped to about 4.85v. Perfect, I increased the capacitor to 100uF anyway which seems to steady the voltage. Sounds great, I hadn't heard of low drop voltage regulators before. So I've Googled it for future reference. Thanks

    Op Amp for speaker circuit

Hi Guys, The PAM8403 module has arrived. I have a supply of 4 1.5v AA batteries, with an LED indicator and appropriate current limiting resistor to power the module. The supply voltage is a steady 5.75v and I need 5v to drive the module, so I created a voltage divider where R1 = 33Ω and R2 =...

    Solar Panels

Thanks guys, I will ask more questions at a later date, if I need too. Learnt a lot from this thread. =) Ash

    Solar Panels

Can I measured the current openly? Or do I need a dummy load to measure the current? Lets say 20-40 Ohms? I'll probably order some more panels to play with in a few days:)

    Solar Panels

I see, so if I arrange more panels in parallel I can increase the current? It would be nice to achieve an output of 5v and ≥ 250mA, perhaps if I have two 1.2v NiMH AA batteries charging from the Solar Panels then the output to the boost converter to achieve my 5v. Thats if my panels have...

    Solar Panels

Hi Guys, I have a few recycled solar panels about, so I decided to string them together. I'm getting a steady 4v on the output, with 8 small panels. I'm trying to connect it to a 0.9v-5v to 5v DC-DC Booster Module. The problem is the 4v drops when connected to the module, but rises when its...

    Changchong power fault (Help please).

Well, I'm not an expert on this. But that voltage spike may have broken down the junctions inside the rectifier diodes. A bridge rectifier normally uses 4 diodes, which I cant see clearly on the board. Remember that rectifiers can come in different packages like the images I've attatched...
