    I would have thought the characteristics of the fuse (i.e 6.3A) would have been the main criteria.... most suppliers have pretty good parametric search facilities to deliver results - here's Farnell's results but you could do the same at Digikey etc...

    No problems - sadly there are practically zero subjects that will include everything you 'like' and nothing you 'hate' - the amount of programming will vary according to the subject, analogue electronics no so much, digital much more so. If you want to do the crime, do the time.....:D

    Or use the 'magnify' feature available from the top-right of the schematic. Where do the pink/white and blue/black wires go? IIRC the pink/white will drive one tube (CCFL) the blue/black another. Polarity is irrelevant. Since the outputs are 'protected' you can't do any harm by wiring them...

    Standard practise is to use a diode bridge with suitable regulator after (or dropper resistor in the LED chain) or even a capacitive dropper. Some form of current limiting is essential.
