    Constantine, Totally agree about trying other floppy drives. I still have the Casio first digital camera. QV series. Irfanview software saved many of my FDD photos. Try different drives first, including USB to FDDs. Worked for me. Martin

    As you have a multimeter and one good working channel, you should be able to check and compare voltages. Open it up and take some close, clear photos of both sides of the board. Martin

    There are a few free programs that do this. Many on here use LTspice. It has libraries of components. It also comes with a learning curve. There are Apps too. But I’ve never used one. Hopefully somebody else will chime in to help you. Martin

    When reverse engineering for a schematic, I find it easier to print off the reversed back side of the pcb. Then draw the components across the solder joints.     If you have four scorched resistors from the same four items from the same PCBs. I would swap them for higher wattage resistors. Also, check all four for resistance. Hopefully a couple will be good and read the same. Martin

    Show us a picture or schematic of your project including data on the LEDs. You only gave two bits of information. 24 LEDs and 4x3v button cells in series. I’ll say straight away that button cells are not the way to go. Use a minimum of AAs cells. Curious how you measured LUX ?. Martin
