    Practical use of voltage divider

Resistors won't do the job and would loose loads of power even if used. The volts they drop vary with the load applied. The simplest and most efficient way is to use buck (drop-down) regulators where efficiencies of 90% or more can be achieved i.e. not a lot of radiant heat. These are very...

    Converting AC to DC motor

Winch motors are actually very suitable for go-karts. Most kiddies karts have small motors driving either a huge gear reduction or via worm drives. Work backwards from your wheel rotation requirement - if you have a 12" diameter wheel it will move a kart 36" per revolution and at 100rpm this...

    Hard Drive Help Needed!

Telling and/or showing us how you connected the drives the WRONG way will assist us in identifying how the fault happened and what parts may require replacement. Too often I've been led astray by people 'hiding' what they've done and made what would have been a relatively quick fix into a...

Configuration of LCD Screen for raspberry pi 3

Disconnect the inverter and run the screen without it - does it still overheat? If it does there's another problem somewhere - if it doesn't then the inverter is being over-driven. Seek an alternative inverter driver or check your interface settings for the correct voltage/current settings.

    Vizio s3851w-d4 power supply schematics

Well the clear pictures don't show the 'bulge' as the earlier pics did so forget this issue. Can we have more clear images of the 'hot' end of the board (both sides)? We'll try to pint out where to take some appropriate measurements to localise the fault.

    Vizio s3851w-d4 power supply schematics

Change it anyway - or show a close-up picture of it. The top definitely looks domed to me, possibly split, and it WILL cause problems either now or later. The output of the 24V may require 'something' from the 5V supply - and if it isn't 'smooth' (this is what the capacitor does) then it may...

    Need Advice on this project

I understand that accelerometers only give an output when they are 'accelerating' - once a steady speed has been reached the output falls to zero.

PWM controlled DC motor using 2n3055: Is it okay? How can be inproved? + Proteus file

Not really questioning the use of the transistor - just pointing out the possible alternatives..... if the OP was prepared to adopt them.

    Leakage voltage in relay mecanical

Same thing - your meter is just 'too sensitive'. Your meter will draw current THROUGH the light (of whatever kind) and cause a volt drop to be read. See how a comprehensive question (post #6) can give a comprehensive answer (post #7)? You're not alone in doing this but when you come to a...

    Ideas to start my project.

Great location for a detector but a simple IR detector (as used in motion detection devices) would be sufficient. The alternative is an ultrasonic movement detector. These are often fitted in cars for alarm purposes (my Jeep has one) and would alarm if anyone 'left inside' moved even a...

I have a Bose Wave system with no audio

Start by giving more information. Make, model, pictures etc. State your problem ACCURATELY and CONCISELY. "I think it could be the driver" is nothing we can use to help!

Change C21 - definitely broken. As stated, probably nothing wrong with the transformer - just your technique for measuring it!

Losses in the 2N3055 compared to using a low Rds(on) MOSFET are considerable.

    Leakage voltage in relay mecanical

WHERE? Show the lamp. The relay is connected to a 5V supply so presumably the 16V is at the lamp?
