    Car battery jumpstart gadgets

This is dependent on the (false) belief in MMGW and the 'evils' of fossil fuels. Once the issue has been resolved the market forces will re-assert themselves and the cheapest and most convenient methods for transport will prevail. Too much of the worlds economy is driven by oil and there's...

Omron 24 VDC power supply Mosfet and diode replacement

The replacement device with built-in protection seems more than capable. Use it.

Sick of my breadboard! quality breadboard recommendations please.

I'd rather use Manhattan construction than a protoboard! For RF work I use copper clad board with small 'lands' (I make mine by punching out mini circles using a hole punch and 0.2mm copper clad material then glueing the 'dots' around where needed). Sometimes I can't even bother transferring...

Taylor Electric valave voltmeter model 172A-schematics/service manual

Hmmmm Even according to the Radiomuseum, it's a 2-valve unit. Check out the pics in this link to compare the innards and see what's different (note = you have to sign up to the site if you want detailed information) https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/taylor_vacuum_tube_voltmeter_mod.html Red is...

    Uart communication protocoals

The timer values will relate to the BAUD RATE at which the communication is to be made. Faster baud rate, smaller time interval.

Increasing amperage in a 12 volt DC circuit without transistors or additional power supplies

You don't seem to understand the principles - basically you will be using the MOSFET (transistor) as a switch. When the switch is connected and activated (as per @BobK post above) the MOSFET will pass (carry) whatever current the load demands. If your pump requires 350mA then that's what will...

Who has a wiring schematic of the major parts of a CRT TV and CRT monitor?

seriously? ANY old set or something a bit more specific? Basic principles or are you looking to repair one? One-word requests get one-word answers....... I was being generous.

Need help with QFN packaged IC for breadboard

PCB design/fabrication is beyond the scope of this reply - try downloading one of the common 'free' online PCB software packages and following their basic tutorial. You should find a typical QFN footprint in the component library of many of the better software packages that can be edited...

Omron 24 VDC power supply Mosfet and diode replacement

When looking to repair SMPS devices it is always useful to find the data sheet for the controlling device AND the application sheet - as shown here. I also found the block diagram for the PSU too - it sometimes helps: Based on your description of the part location and comparing it to the...

    Replacement mosfet?

Search for the data sheet for each device and compare the 'main' specifications which, in most cases, are Vg, Vds, Ids and Rds(on). If you can match (or beat) the values then your alternative will do the job. (disclaimer) see post #2 above.....

Need help with QFN packaged IC for breadboard

It's not 'really' a QFN package you've got then, is it......? According to the document you link to it's actually a 'UKJ-type' package (with QFN pin spacing) which looks as if it will require a custom PCB to accommodate. Getting a PCB made for it will be an order of magnitude (or two!) cheaper...

Sick of my breadboard! quality breadboard recommendations please.

I've seen stripboard that has the exact same copper strip layout as standard breadboard designed for those who wish to simply 'copy over' their stripboard layout to a more permanent form (soldered). More recently I've taken to using coper plane perfboard - individual component lands on one...

Sensor to detect force from an angle

The only other way would be to measure the forward momentum of the object (speed) as the instant it hit the sensor.

Meaning of some german words on the front of a radio

After consulting some more learned friends in the 'antique' radio world it appears that this is a particular 'German thing' of allocating channels 2 - 56 to the VHF Channel II range (87.5 to 108MHz). The pushbutton unit selects multi-turn presets that set the tuning voltage on a varicap-tuned...

Increasing amperage in a 12 volt DC circuit without transistors or additional power supplies

Use a MOSFET then. You can't increase the output capability of the 555 without using an external buffering device (transistor, MOSFET or, indeed, a relay).

Meaning of some german words on the front of a radio

The numbers seem to correspond to the old VHF TV channels - the receiver may have been used to provide 'hi-fi' sound for TV reception in much the same way surround-sound does these days. Here's a cap of the radio specifications showing the optional 'UHF' channels:
