    Grounding, earths electrical field

Hey Merlin I knew that gravity was not the cause, I was wondering if he did. I suppose that's the problem with question marks, they sometimes get interpreted as needing knowledge rather than asking if someone has an idea about something. The earth is slowing down but do you know why? and why...

    Grounding, earths electrical field

I think you mean current and not voltage. Current will form a loop which will return to its source. We generally use conventional current where the direction is from the highest potential to the lowest potential. But it is actually the other way. Don't get too hung up on this, we are sort of...

    Amps higher than voltage possible?

With 120 Volts at 120 Amp, this is with a 1 Ohm resistive load. This is not a short circuit necessarily. Now if you have a 0.5 Ohm resistor then what do you get? 240 Amps. The amount of current you can pull from any power line would depend on other factors like wiring and fuse ratings. Please...

    intrinsic carrier concentration

Yes k is the Boltzmann constant but you are using the wrong units. Adam

What is the phase shift between the voltage across the resistor and the voltage from the source?

Yes I am beginning to think this a wind up. How can someone who is obviously doing a course of some kind not have any notes with any examples of anything. Adam

    110VAC On/Off to 5VDC signal

What about a simple 110- 5 Volt wall wart? Just for signalling purposes. They are quite cheap and should be relatively safe. Adam

    Audio signal to speakers

The only speakers I aware of that can benefit from a transconductance amplifier are tweeters and full range drivers. They have to be mounted in a enclosure to benefit from the a sort of air suspension you get which supplies the damping to the speaker. This is needed because you don't get this...

    What is the impedance?

The impedance is complex and is linked to the longest part of a right angle triangle. Can you work it out now. Adam

Design of a Frequency stabilizer in Cadence using a MOS.

What are you trying to build? Just a stable oscillator or an accurate oscillator? What waveform output do you need? Can you tell us a bit more of what you are doing. Adam

    Ground lift

I only know of ground lift from external lightning strikes to the ground near an electrical installation. The whole ground close to this lifts in potential. I don't think it's ever something you would want. But I might be wrong. Adam

What is the phase shift between the voltage across the resistor and the voltage from the source?

Think about how many degrees in a circle and your frequency and now this time constant. Adam

What is the phase shift between the voltage across the resistor and the voltage from the source?

Think about what the time constant is with these two components. Then convert that into a phase angle. Adam

What is the circuit's total current?

What do you mean you just added 0.758 mA and 4.503mA. How did you calculate this? Adam

what percentage of current remains in the resistor?

No I think he's right. It's just strange he uses the word remains. Adam

    DC Voltage Regulators

Hello Do you have a 120 Volt relay? if you do then It might be that you can use a simple transistor circuit to control the 120 Volt relay. Where does the 60 Volt trigger come from? Adam

    0.45 volt regulated power supply

I use linear Tech parts all the time and have exstensive knowledge of their parts. Call me sad I guess. I also have a direct link into the tech side of Linear Tech which helps sometimes. Adam
