Please help me identify this burnt piece

I'll have my 10 cents worth here.. No, it is just a connecter. Likely to be a short a long the line somewhere. Unless it was completely over loaded. I have never seen one like that for telecom use. Martin

    Voltage sensor 10-15v

Haha Hop, Your guess is 100% better than mine... I find most questions here are "I am building" "I am Making", and then, I need a full list of components and a diagram so I can make it! I shouldn't take the @+"/# because I am also a learner with big L plates. I try my best "not" to exceed my...

    Voltage sensor 10-15v

Yes, indeed. But the OP said he couldn't find anything and had done a reasonable search! That was my first hit with the OP's query. Martin

    LED power supply help

Ok, give me a little while. I'll see what I can find and edit for you. The only "unknown" is the amp/ma for each string. Martin

    LED power supply help

No problem, images have easy schematics. Now do you want a simple on/off (one on other off)? On/Off, Both On...Both Off? One flashes 3 times then other flashess 3 times? Try and give me an idea of what you like. Martin

    LED power supply help

Ok, Ian, Can you read schematics? and do you have LTspice to view the schematics? Or is a Google image better with an explanation how to do it? Martin

    LED power supply help

Ok, no problem. It just means the only easy way to control the two strings is limited. My preference would be 555 and 4017. Because you can add diodes and change the kinds of flashing in a very short time. Martin

    LED power supply help

Hi Ian, The simplest would have been if you had negatives and two positives. A single 555 timer would have worked. But you don't. Unless you can see a way to separate them? Martin

As expected. But worth a try. Have you had any thoughts on the kind of flasher circuit you're looking for? I'll try and help as much as possible.. Martin

A true novice needs help, electronic game trail alert

Hi Jab, I think that makes more sense. But you can still use four of the same transmitters and only one receiver. Each transmitter would be connected via the PIR or whatever sensor and transmit once activated. The other three would still be off. Unless you got really unlucky and mobbed from all...

    LED device Help please !

The original battery you was talking about is a PP3 battery. To charge that, you need a charger! Any charger that has a PP3 connector will do. But you'll have to add wiring and a barrel plug. The charger I showed was just an example of a remote charger. Now having read and understand your...

Hi Donkey, Good question.. Again, I can only assume, that his speakers are usb powered and has a separate cable for audio input. Martin

    LED device Help please !

Lol yeah, that's why I need to double check everything you say.!!!! Now that instructable is using 9v battery to charge another device @ 5v. So that is not what you need at all. Buy the 9v battery with the proper charger, then you can wire it all up without issues. Martin

How can I hook up my usb speakers to a battery pack?

Oh dear me, Don't get too upset uncle! I just tried my Logitech usb speakers on 1.5v........Nope, no life at all.. BTW, I didn't just pull them apart to try it! I am replacing an extremely bulged cap that was causing distortion. And of those 83 views, I suspect 82 knew he must have used a higher...
