    Wheatstone bridge/multiSIM help

Yes, two batteries would be required in series and connect the common point of the circuit to the centre where the two batteries meet. The other connections go to the power supply pins of the INAMP. Adam

    Wheatstone bridge/multiSIM help

Hi Chris Also just noticed you are using a single supply, just check your not violating the input common mode range for the device and that the outputs can drive to 0V which I doubt. You would be better off using a split +/- 5V supply if you can. Adam

    Wheatstone bridge/multiSIM help

Your DMM will not show the correct reading with external power connected to it. Resistance measurements should be done without power connected. I can't see anything wrong with your circuit as far as your results go. You have a gain of about 146 so this would give you the results you have. You...

pwm dimmer questions and how to select right one

Yes I think your right. Some people have stripped the stereo apart and just used the required components for the PWM. I get a bit nervous when people mention about modifying vehicle wiring. Adam

pwm dimmer questions and how to select right one

Hello Just interested in why the radio controls the brightness of the display? Is this when it's dark and you have your lights on? Is that what you mean about input lights? Cheers Adam

    Roland Amp Satellite Speaker problem

I can't see anything obvious, is it just one channel that has stopped working? I guess you tried the speaker in both sockets? Adam

Techniques for testing PCBs in temperature chambers

I have done a lot of temperature testing for my company and we do two different things. For us the problem with testing bare PCBs in the chamber is that when the PCB is in our product the thermal inertia of the enclosure the PCB lives in in normal operation can be quite large. Over temperature...

Finding out what frequency i am on

You have to be careful just making an oscillator with an antenna as you might contravene your local law regarding transmission of electromagnetic waves and the power it develops may interfere with other equipment. You need to check out what ISM bands you are allowed to use and be extremely...

    Regarding My Sony TV

Just having a quick look and it could be the lamp I first posted about, over time they can give a green image on the screen. It appears to be a problem for all such TVs, which is why they stopped using them. Adam

    Questions on power supply

If the PSU has a current control knob then it will only (should) give the max current that the PSU is designed to supply. When powering a new circuit for the first time I always limit the current to a value just above what I think it should draw. Adam

    IR2110 Mosfet Driver Capacitance Question

Hi Fish Your right it won't hurt having extra capacitance. I just wanted to know the reasoning behind it. I still think 100 uF is overkill but it's up to you what you do. Here is the formula showing actually quite a small value required even for 10 Hz. I had to guess a little on some of these...

    Regarding My Sony TV

Does the green LED on the TV flash a certain amount of times before it shuts down? Some TV's have fault codes in the number of flashes they give on the green LED on the front of the TV if left does the TV turn back on again? You could also look at the projection lamp, these can fail and cause...
