Effect of parasit capacitor at the input of my digital circuit

Do you need a pull up resistor on the input. A better circuit diagram would be more helpful for us. Adam

When is 1 watt not 1 watt?

The way I looked at it was a bit different. I thought the 4Rs are going to be the limiting factor as they are going to draw more current and thus generate the 1W first. So I just worked from there, then your fixed with that voltage so the 6R just dissipates the x amount of power as a result of...

When is 1 watt not 1 watt?

Ah just done that one. Look at the 4R and find out how much current can go through it to produce 1W this will be the same for the other 4R also. Work out the voltage required for this current and the use this to work out the current in the 6R and then the wattage. Then add them all together. Adam

    DC2132A

Hi John Yeah looks good, the brass bezels are for banana plugs your right. I ordered it from Arrow UK one of the reps I know is trying to get me one. Adam

    How to connect ESD?

Yes Dave. So if the unit is buried inside an enclosure and no one will be touching it then the risk is small. Adam

    Capacitance between two wires

Here is an example I have done for a 4 m pair of wires 45 mm apart with a radius of 1.5 mm. Hope this helps Adam

Fine temperature control (Triac + temperature sensor)

Here is what Tina can do. Although this can be done in LT Spice it's a bit more intuitive in Tina. I selected a variable for the 100K and made it step in value 5 times from 1K to 100K. VF1 is the output plotted against the input waveform.

Fine temperature control (Triac + temperature sensor)

Yeah it's a very good package, I changed because I wanted something better for producing documents. Adam

    DC2132A

I saw this in the latest LT Journal and I have requested a FOC sample. I thought it might be something you guys are interested in. LT are very good for free development PCBs, if you say you are interested in having a look at their products. Some of you might know a rep who could get one for you...

Fine temperature control (Triac + temperature sensor)

To add a power source go to components, it's the AND gate symbol on the tool bar at the top. It called voltage. I have used Tina Ti it's free but limited in features. Adam

Fine temperature control (Triac + temperature sensor)

What issues are you having? Both myself and Kris have used it a fair amount. But Harald is the resident boffin I do believe. Adam

    How to connect ESD?

Where did you get this circuit from, is it what the manufacture recommends? It's just a tilt switch right? Adam

    How to connect ESD?

Why do you think it needs protecting from ESD? Is this part going to be touched by anyone? Adam

    FunFactory Yooo battery problem

My advice would be to replace the battery with the same type and capacity. I wouldn't mess around with lithium batteries unless you know how they are assembled. For safety reasons dispose of the battery properly and buy a new battery. Adam

Fine temperature control (Triac + temperature sensor)

What about using the property of a magnet, that it's magnetism decreases with a rise in temperature and increases with a reduction of temperature, you could then sense this and maybe use this information to adjust your angle? Ultimate isolation! Just a thought. Adam
