    @duke37 If you left click on the image and then Right click, then choose View image, it will display larger. Then Right click again and it's even bigger.. I only found that out the other day. Martin

    Hi Neil, I can find the manual but not the schematic unfortunately. Also, there is an old thread on this forum here. But it was only for the manual too. The 3131 is the 15Mhz version, have you checked for any similarities? It might help. Martin

    I put a resistor and transistor there as a matter of course. It may not be needed all of the time, but two extra components wont break the bank. It does definitely keep the 555 running cooler though while driving a few strings of leds. EDIT: I think the OP has detention! He hasn't replied.. Martin

    Hello FutureFuzz 26, I had the original ZXR. Lovely machine.. I have seen a lot of people 'modding' their tachos with a LM3915 chip. Usually used for a simple VU meter. Or volume sensor kind of circuit. Have a search on the net for that kind of thing. Martin
