LED Strips blink on all X10 circuits

Hi Blayson, The X10 modules you have are probably pre-CFL modules. These did cause problems with driving leds. You might want to upgrade to CFL compatible modules. Not 100% sure though. Are your light modules ceiling mounted? Or adaptor and wireless switch?. Martin

    Help $ home work.

So you can use ohms law to get your answer. You have the voltage and the resistor value. So, V / I = R And V / R = I. Which one would you use to get the current? The more current limiting resistance, the duller the led (bulb) will be. The opposite is also true. Martin

    Mig welder help

Hi Laurence, Is it the supermig? There is a pcb on the inside back at the top. Try and check the rectifiers there. I suspect that is the problem. Can you confirm voltage to that board and nothing after? Martin

    Help $ home work.

Have you been taught Ohms Law yet? V=IR. Voltage = I (current) x (times) R (resistance). And your 'bulb' is a LED, Light Emitting Diode. Martin

    Trouble with solder

Hi 8bit, I have been watching this thread. It does sound like you are burning the flux.. Any chance you can upload a video to Youtube. Only then can anybody be sure of what is going on!. At least then we can see your iron, flux and how you are using it.. The iron is either too hot or too cold...

    Dirt Devil Jag3 Vacuum Repair

Lol, Sorry, My mind was clearly elsewhere! Canada looks nothing like Switzerland.. I think the main board has some rectification going on. I do believe that you can still connect the motor directly across the points where the pot was. That will give you full power.. Martin

How to convert frequency to light

That's a very BIG ask!! You need to find out what frequency you will be monitoring. Possibly something like a RF Detector, Bug Sweeping, Wireless CCTV detection etc. Martin

    PWM Circuit project help

Hi Alexander, Is the collector and emitter connected together in your picture? Wouldn't the leds be on constant bypassing the transistor? But 'like a tap' is not very helpful!! The output of the 555 is set to come on and off at a set frequency by a capacitor and resistor on the input side. The...
