Laptop Electronics Engineer or Technician needed (Laptop isn't Turning on)

Was it plugged in to the charger during this time or left sitting switched off? How do you know the battery is fully charged? Do you have more than one? I have two older laptops that do this, and both have problematic batteries. If I leave them for half hour charging, they will eventually turn...

Are these buzzers just like the ones found in a smoke detector?

I am not sure about that type, but if you want something loud, the sound bombs work very well. Have a look here. They are cheaper too. Martin

    Simple Circuit Problem

Ok, in that case you need two input sources and one output on a SPDT switch. State1 constant supply and state2 computer controlled. Then you can use just two switches for on/off of each circuit regardless of which supply. Martin

    Simple Circuit Problem

I omitted to say sw1 and sw2 too. So wouldn't have worked anyway. Back to the diodes then...For now... Martin

    Simple Circuit Problem

Can I ask a question? Why do you need STATE 1 And 2? You caould change the top toggle for a normal ON/OFF for both circuits. And change sw3 and sw4 for 2way switches. Link sw1 to sw3 and sw2 to sw4. That should be something like a two way switching circuit and all switches work independently...

Help on how to test this device

Hi Mike, It looks like the transformer has snapped! Or is it just the tape around it? Secondly, desolder the black DC wires, they look like they are shorting each other. Thirdly, the two caps by the DC output should give a clue to the output voltage. They will be higher voltage rated than the...

Wanted: Need power source/battery charger pc40

Todd Engineering went out of business, and others in your situation have been told to replace with an equivalent from another company. Is yours missing or broken? If broken, I found a hand drawn schematic for the PC30, but it's supposed to be the same. You could possibly have it repaired. The...

Hmm, sounds like you have already identified your regulator. Approx 19v, 100ma and TO92 package. the xx78Lxx series seem to fit the bill. Or was that just an example? Martin

    Whether to purchase...

Hi Alissa, I admit I have no idea what polymeric is! But it seems that 3 in 1 fans are readily available. Some of these are nice, but probably 'polymeric':) As for 220v or 110v, that would depend on what you buy. Also have a read of this Martin

Hey Hop, I think you may have upset the OP.:) Transmit 'Heroic spin' and numbers, or other words. To a receiver and then a screen only 2 or 3m away? Is the screen ceiling mounted above a double divan by any chance? Martin

    AC Compressor blowing fuse

You have 2? That's where I am going wrong, There is nothing left, right, above, below or inbetween. I read about reverse voltage. 1000v or 700v RMS and thought that was the voltage the diode would protect against. Oh well, back to the black board Miss. Martin

    AC Compressor blowing fuse

Hi John, to be honest, I have no idea. I was just reading about a similar story and found the result |I posted. I thought it might have been useful, but obviously not. My keen interest to help does sometimes obscure the obvious!! Martin

    AC Compressor blowing fuse

This is what I was reading.. The process of choosing the proper flyback diode for the suppression circuit is quite simple. First, determine the current the clutch or brake demands. For example, the Warner ERS-42 electrically released brake needs 0.239 A at 90 V to release its total maximum...
