When I was at school, I tried to use Tina too. She didn't respond reasonably either. Martin

    Hooking up LEDs to Switches

Great advice from Gryd3 about a m/cycle indicator switch. It probably has a larger diameter opening than your bikes. You can pack that out with bent tin can or similar sleeve. Any way, I have just found a new respect for one of the members of this forum. Mr Colin Mitchell. I didn't know about...

panasonic home theater system won't turn on

You are absolutley correct. Buy more and replace them!! Sorry to say this but, I had to show you how to test for continuity! There is no other way of testing capacitors than replacing them or having (and knowing) how to use the testers!! Sorry again! You cannot even use your multimeter!! I...

    Hooking up LEDs to Switches

Hi and sorry for not responding. I had to babysit my nephews at a moments notice. The switch can be a single switch like a motorcycle indicator switch. Flick it 'left' back to centre or flick it 'right'. I have done quite a few diagrams for you on paper, but need my LTspice diagrams checked by...

    Shoot timer circuit

Hi Drifter. I don't fast draw all the time. My 8 shot Rohm can be emptied in two seconds. I prefer sniping at 500m or 1000m. Especially when windage is a factor.

    Hooking up LEDs to Switches

You may be better getting a small sealed lead acid battery. They deliver more amperage per hour and are still rechargeable. The white led's do have a higher forward voltage to operate. Let me have a play later after dinner. You also only need one switch too. Martin

    Hooking up LEDs to Switches

You could yes. But the voltage will be diffent. Nimhs will also be a lower voltage than Alkaline too. 1.2v vs 1.5v. So 4.8v rechargeables or 6v alkaline. Or 9v pp3. So what led do you want to use? Back of a bike is usually RED. But indicators are usually AMBER. Martin

    Hooking up LEDs to Switches

Not at all. Just two simple fashers from A pp3 battery. It could be done even easier with a flashing led! But where is the fun in that? Can you read a simple circuit diagram? I can do one for you if you want. Martin

    Hooking up LEDs to Switches

Hi, sounds like a good project. I used to do the same with CB radios and xmas lights on mine. What exactly do you want to achieve? Brake lights? turn indicators? Just lights? You will need other items like resistors, capacitors and transistors if you want them to flash. What led's are you...

    Continuity testing wire capacitance

Hi Chick. Continuity will only check for open or closed circuits. This calculator will help for Resistance, Voltage drop and length. Here Martin

panasonic home theater system won't turn on

Nobody mentioned not helping you. This is probably the best forum on the web!! Have you verified that the mains cable is not damaged. Continuity. Have you checked the internal fuse. Continuity. If all is ok so far, plug in the unit and check for supply voltage coming in. Is that correct? Check...

panasonic home theater system won't turn on

I am just reading the service manual. CAUTION, don't go probing around!!! Unplug it and first check for continuity on the mains cables. I am not comfortable with this BTW. Are you competent in checking voltages? Martin
