How to control 80 relays using ardrino

@hevans1944 , I use the x10 system here in England. It works very well on 220-240v 50-60hz. I do believe there are 256 addresses. They also have din rail modules for consumer units too. Very reliable system but not much use for TV's that stay on standby because you still need the TV remote to...

    Noob building from schematic.

Yes, you can simply extend the capacitor leads. I regularly use crocodile clips when there isn't enough room. You seem to have lots of space to the left side. Put caps there and jumper wires back to the location on the board. On the link you posted, scroll down all the way and click on the...

    12vdc Pulse Timer

Yes Kiwi, you are right. I just had a good read up on the 12v vehicle wiring. The relay has constant power supplied. I thought that the relay was powered from a switch and could be tapped from there. Martin.

Need Help On CM8870 IC ...

I have no experience with this circuit at all. But it appears a lot of people are having similar issues. Have you tried the '0.1uf capacitor' across pins 18 and 9.? Seems to work for some people. Martin EDIT; Have you double checked connections from phone?

Akai plasma 60" picture looks like a lava lamp sound still good

Hi Laurie, the fuses are probably white in colour and therefore a visual check wont tell you much. The fuse can be bought at any electronic / electrical whole saler. You need to check the fuse on the board and if blown replace it with the same values!! NOT a hair clip or kitchen foil !!!! You...

    12vdc Pulse Timer

Thanks Kiwi, makes perfect sense now. And a great idea. I would prefer the 'cornering lights' be to be on the whole time the indicator is on. Easily achieved by using another relay activated with the flasher relay. But the OP doesn't want that. Martin

I have a broken linear encoder that I want to repair...

Hi Dan, you can't really test a resistor without de-soldering a leg. To do so in circuit will give false results. First clean all boards and let them dry COMPLETELY. The water based fluid could still short circuit even when you think it is dry. Heck, I should know, my computer mainboard only got...

Damaged plasma screen anti glare coating removal.

Hi Reignbow, sounds like a nice find, however different manufacturers use differant methods for anti glare. If you are VERY lucky it will be a film that you can peel very slowly off. But if you are in a nicely lit room, you will regret removing it. Some manufacturers use a coating (not a film)...

I have a broken linear encoder that I want to repair...

That middle resistor definitely tried AWOL during the wave soldering. Perhaps a good clean with isopropyl (using ear buds / qtips). And make sure the board is completely dry. Martin.

Not really. An ESR meter is probably the only real method.

    voice module help please

In post #3 he said it works fine with speaker back on the module. The speaker could be anything from 2ohms to 64ohms. Martin.

    Electric skateboard battery

Hi Caster, The BEC is a battery eliminator circuit. It serves as another fail safe device. Basically cuts power to motor/s while keeping enough power for the receiver. This would allow the model to be guided home with the servos. Martin.

    potentiometer Colvern old model id

Hi Elfix You are right, those numbers bring zero results. However, it was an English company and I have phoned the owners that took over. They do have stock and possibly an equivalent if not. He said the 585R is probably the ohms value and J is the tolerance. But he would need to see pictures...
