    SMPS feedback loop injection resistor?

You crack me up. I love reading your posts, your so much like me. In your face lol. Your posts are quite complex and frequent. Give me time and I will respond to all. Adam

    SMPS's with cascoded opto feedback

Dave Let's please wait until I have heard from my contact in Australia. He will put this to bed. Cheers Adam

Simple Class D amplifier PSU is OK?

I like your posts very interesting, they always need some thought. I think you should sign yourself off as E^2 I.e e times e. Its a type of memory. Because I can never remember your name lol.

    Tachometer

Reflex light barrier might be a limitation, they might not be able to have everything in one package. I would go for what we call a break beam. Or as mentioned hall effect or personal favourite reed switch. Simple. Adam

    SMPS's with cascoded opto feedback

Yes its the same for chemistry and physics also. Most electronics books are also wrong in many ways. But it still all works the way it teaches but that does not make it right. I mean even seasoned engineers still think a battery contains the free electrons that are used in the circuit. Also the...

Simple led circuit - to difficult for me

Double pole switch for the two and single pole for the others. When you press the double pole switch it can supply voltage to both. Connect both contacts of the other side together and connect them to the power and connect one of the poles to the output of one of the other switches. Connect the...

    SMPS feedback loop injection resistor?

Ah I see. Well the output impedance for the buffer I think is going to be the Ro of the op-amp itself, which is going to be quite low. Not checked the device yet. I'll look later and let you know. Thanks Adam

    SMPS's with cascoded opto feedback

I am getting confused now. The whole point I have been making whether right or wrong is with a photo transistors base terminal left open as I understand you can have more current coming out of the emitter than the collector. I am not always very good at explaining myself but from the numerous...

    SMPS's with cascoded opto feedback

Hi Steve. I didn't say that, you know it's a photo transistor with a resistor connected to the collector. People might mock me on here but I can only state what I understand and back it up with experiments. But I am always prepared to be proven wrong, but need hard evidence I can understand to...

    SMPS's with cascoded opto feedback

I have my good scope back now so I can invert the signal. Have to wait till next week. But yes Steve this could be the issue. Adam

    SMPS feedback loop injection resistor?

Don't see the purpose of the 20R from low impedance buffer to high impedance input. Buffer with short across out to in not good in some cases. Adam

    SMPS's with cascoded opto feedback

hi Kris, thanks for the feedback. I did this because I didn't have a an invert function on the scope. Both traces were captured as I connected the power to the IR emitter by hand, so this can't be turn off can it? I did an earlier experiment wit the BFX43 and used a precision meter, this...

What Is the difference between capacitance and voltage ?

As briefly mentioned above a battery contains chemical energy. The electrons for the current are already in the wires as a sort of electron sea. This is why metals are shiny. The battery does not produce any electrons but sort of pumps them around the circuit. The energy from the battery...

    SMPS's with cascoded opto feedback

Also did another experiment if your interested with a OP593 which shows an increase in current out of the emitter compared to the collector. There was a small debate about this also. This device does not have a base lead. Thanks Adam

    SMPS's with cascoded opto feedback

I did a similar experiment with a BFX43, base left open. Maybe I had the setup wrong but I followed what Steve was doing apart from having two power supplies. what do you think. Thanks Adam
