Flickering flame simulation with PIR motion sensor - mostly need help with transistor, I think

Probably slightly different between operating systems, but there's a vast wealth of circuits to look at and learn on there

Flickering flame simulation with PIR motion sensor - mostly need help with transistor, I think

If you try it, you can see all the circuits i've made by typing in @cjdelphi

Flickering flame simulation with PIR motion sensor - mostly need help with transistor, I think

I don't think the saturation is high enough for all those leds, juat from experience, the gain is around 300 for a 2n2222 So 5/7000 is 0.0007142857ma x 300 0.2142857143 amps Ah 3v for a pi! Even less current! I should know what simulator it is, i just designed it for you! Every Circuit for...

Flickering flame simulation with PIR motion sensor - mostly need help with transistor, I think

Sorry i meant 10uf in a darlington pair arrangement (in collector out emitter to the base of the 2nd npn (which is where your circuit starts) That way, the cap can slowly discharge through the transistor giving a fade

Flickering flame simulation with PIR motion sensor - mostly need help with transistor, I think

I'd use a darlington and a 10f combo with a resistor in series to base

That won't produce a dimming effect, the capacitor current will just enter through base straight to emitter, it just go off quickly

    120/240ac Triac Dimmer

Most led 240ac bulbs [edit i said usb, i meant 240ac ]lights people buy are not like that at all they are all cap driven, warranty means nothing to a lot of people when the "led 240ac bulb" costs you more in postage to send back to china, in these instances dissasembly is safer

    120/240ac Triac Dimmer

An arduino controlled triac caught my attention on fb, after reading about it occurred to me that a mc controlled triac controlled dimmers are expensive vs a triac/diac and a potentiometer to give dimming control Then i realized this is only of any use for old incandescent bulbs, theactrics...

    Microwave movement detector module

I came across this and i had to buy one the price, claims it can sense movement behind thin walls

Something weird happened with a resistor and a mosfet

A shorted/blown mosfet, pictures ? (Measure the resistance between all the pins or set to continuity and test)

    Simple Flashing LED

There's quite a few ways to make simple flashers, maybe you should challenge yourself to make the flasher with the minimum amount of components to show variations of a flasher circuit? (Reverse biased 2n2222 or a UJT/PUT, a flip flop circuit)

Eyes hurt... These flickering leds 3mm probably require 20ma or so, there's a chip inside the led which creates the flickering So i'm not sure if they can be run in series, maybe?

    LEDs changing colors

That 4 pin chip is the 5252f ? (From memory) it steps the voltage up from 1ish volts to 3-4v to drive the rainbow 2 pin LED

    Latching Circuit npn/pnppnp

Yeah, originally the pnp was the right way round, i must have accidentally hit the reverse icon (flips it) I flipped it back, the gain is working now on the sim, it's also possible i made the mistake of copying it into the breadboard 6am right now, thanks, i'll try it out later on and get back :)

    Latching Circuit npn/pnppnp

While waiting for the thyristors.... I built this, simulator says it works (using a 2n222 (generic npn) and a 2n44?? (Generic pnp) In real life, it fails to work... After an hour or so i gave up and tried the above circuit (simply moved the feedback point to the base of the npn) This...

    I Give up! SCR anyone?

    Thanks, they do exist!

    I Give up! SCR anyone?

Ooooooh (i was not looking for specific, the best i found 800ma i was looking for something meatier in the low amp range) Thanks!

    I Give up! SCR anyone?

Maybe they don't exist but i can only find small thyristors (to92/2n2222 little black 3 pin size) i bought 5 "thyristors" but i never checked the data sheet and they sent me TRIACs instead which will do for what i need but... A 1/2/5... amp thyristor seems hard if not impossible to find!
