    Joule Thief Wiring

I can't imagine this working, it's not joined like a traditional joule thief so how's it working (the torroidless version on the right)

    TV interference from LED lamps

Long term solution might be a snubber type circuit, i rarely venture into AC territory :)

    TV interference from LED lamps

Maybe the step down inverter is causing the interference due to a lighter load? Attach 1 old halogen bulb in with the LED bulbs see if that helps reduce interference due to a heavier load

    Opamp vs Comparator

Schematic? What's a comparator that sources instead of sinks got to do with a schematic? (Not needed) The pull up i used on the pnp to keep it at 5v from the opamp, not that i had an issue with the circuit, but a pull up helps the snap on/off side of things...

IR Switch Trigger in Specific Setup

10 - 50w is a lot, i mean a LOT, 10w is about as much light as you need before you start blinding people.. If you can find out how much current draw will be, you can pick a mosfet best suited for the job, a 50amp mosfet might be over kill if all you need is 1amp at 12v (10w) So yeah, arduino...

Good idea, i'll use that for this circuit, thanks!

IR Switch Trigger in Specific Setup

The problem with pir/infra red is that 1. It will trigger when it senses motion not really distance there is an adjust but even low it might be too sensitive as it has a wide view field (so neighbors might trigger it) 2. Regardless of how close you are it will turn off until you move again...

    PLEASE HELP ID THIS!!

Well, that speaker could be a microphone, it's odd I suggest pulling the batteries out and sticking it back under the bed! :)

    Opamp vs Comparator

I just built mysf a little charger circuit for a super cap, even a 2w 22ohm resistor is getting hot delivering under 300ma (taking forever for a 400f cap lol) but, the question is.. i used a comparator vs an opamp, and when the voltage is reached the output pin drops to gnd voltage, most opamps...

    PLEASE HELP ID THIS!!

I'm 80% sure it's a toy and when the spring hits a metal contact it makes noise... 20% thinks it's made to look like a toy and it's a voice transmitter / spy bug! Have you got a jealous bf/husband? :P

    Question about Li-ion batteries

Although in my defense lol ...... if you're traveling 80mph, are you not traveling at 80mph if you only have enough fuel for a mile? :)

I want to replace a noisy capacitor in a TV

It's odd a resistor would make noise, usually an inductor would You able to measure the resistance value with a multimeter?

    Question about Li-ion batteries

Look you're confusing capacity with current draw Capacity, 9000mah from a cheap lithium is bs from ebay, it's more like 800 - 1200mah capacity Brief moments of current draw can be 20Ah but it will only supply that for a few seconds maybe a minute It sounds like you're confusing current draw...

    Question about Li-ion batteries

What? Where did i say 9/ 100Ah is bs? A good 18650 battery will pull up to 100Ah (i never said it will give 100Ah for 1 hour, it will pull that much for a brief moment, a few seconds/minute? I never actually tested for that) Not sure what you think i said....
