Need help with LED flash trigger for camera

I've only seen cameras with external components that allow the flash to go off at the same time as it's pressed (camera dependent) So unless you hack it....

constant current LED driver without PWM (and flicker)

I've read it to be true so many times lol Maybe pure wavelengths produced are untouched, but but ones with coated phosphorous with a blue led under it, maybe they change colour... But having to keep in the band gap would imply no colour change, but i've seen old square red LEDs go from red to...

Class D amplifier - Power issue?

I tend to agree with you, sounds like a lack of available current from the battery... Better battery time?

    DSP/Amp Problem (Reversed Polarity)

Maybe it is just the IC causing the issues....

    DSP/Amp Problem (Reversed Polarity)

3am and obviously my brain switched off on me... the tvs diode is fine, you reversed polarity, nothing else duh... 3am i'll sleep on it!

    Building a rechargeable LED flashlight.

You answered your own question, the resistor(s) is the *controller* unlike regular incan bulbs, the resistor is the filament, LEDs behave more like a battery, the more voltage/current you throw at it the more it sucks! However unlike a battery an LED's foward voltage changes and so too the...

    5000W high power mosfet

But, load balancing is important?, maybe a resistor balast per fet to keep it from overheating in order.. 0.1ohm (?Watt Resistor per fet)

    5000W high power mosfet

Why are there so many odd value voltages in the industry? Surely a 110/240ac supply taking 5/10amps is better than a 44v dc driven application? 45v at a guess "safe" voltage, least risk of death is under 50v so that might be it... imagine if your toaster/fridge/kettle ran on 12v :D so while...

    Building a rechargeable LED flashlight.

You're in flashlight terroritory.. it's almost as bad as electronics, biggest grip with flashaholics is the low mode setting, either it's too bright or too dim, eg a fenix will probably be ideal for a mechanic on low.. To be honest, any flashlight will have the intensity but as you pointed out...

    Happy to be here

People get scared of my visions for the future, but then people are all too easy to forget the past and why we have the things we do because there was no alternative ... Now there is an alternative, people fear it (i'm from a software background which led me electronics as a way of bridging the...

    DSP/Amp Problem (Reversed Polarity)

Yeah you'd think basic protection of reverse power would be normal these days, but i guess a 30c power diode would bankrupt them lol Although a diode is a waste of power to protect a circuit (but could protect the main amplifier ic's though) a simple odd shaped connector for positive so you...

    DSP/Amp Problem (Reversed Polarity)

IC's may have been destroyed, but a 25amp fuse! I would check the capacitors, they will short when reversed pulling in that kind of amperage .. (the TVS diode is most likely the cause of the pop but i bet those caps took a small beating)

constant current LED driver without PWM (and flicker)

Pulse width modulation, pwm usually comes at a set frequency, let's say 1000hz your eyes begin to drop the flicker after a few hundred hertz, but the on duration, it's pulse is varied meaning just the light intensity / current is changed.. The beauty of pwm vs cc for LEDs is it's color...

    Potentiometer as a Variable Resistor

Without going to page 2... This what pwm was designed for, to eliminate an expensive coil of wire.. Changing the period in which it stays on for during it's cycle determines how hard your power tools work, even a simple 555 could be used.. Avoid rehostats, use little cheap potentiometers to...

    Soldering Skills - hilarious!

OK - word of advice to anyone with his level of understanding, don't... no really this guy is really on another level to everyone else, i'm amazed he never started a fire or blew off his face with molten plastic... But, enjoy, i laughed hard solid watching him solder that LED (what a waste of...

finding bright 7 seg displays on the market

Hmm uum ... what? I'm confused as to why it's not bright enough, even the worst 7 segments should be bright enough to read in a brightly lit room! This leads me to believe, the segments are over driven (starts bright then dims and stays dim) or under driven...
