Hello, can somebody help wich transistor is like bfg520

I still don't know which circuit you have modelled.

    What is this thing?

Is there any sort of label or markings on it?

Hello, can somebody help wich transistor is like bfg520

What software have you downloaded. Which circuit have you built / modelled? You need to be more explicit.

Does anyone have history with measuring linear distances?

    Measuring what over what distance?

Making a variable power supply variable... (what?)

OK. I didn't realise that. The preferred option would be to put a gain stage between the DAC and the - I/P of U2. Or leave your circuit as drawn. I'd try both and see which works best.

    Induction Magneto Capacitor

I expect 400V is OK. I just tend to err on the side of overkill sometimes. But I would still go for the highest voltage type that you can accommodate. An X2 type may be OK as they are supposed to be self healing if I remember correctly.

Load monitoring for new Extension power cables

Just re-tried SAB-Cable link on post #8 and it worked fine.

    Induction Magneto Capacitor

I think the capacitor even though it is across the points, is intended to resonate with the primary of the ignition coil which will produce a lot of volts.

Making a variable power supply variable... (what?)

First of all, you don't need R2 in your circuit. Yes you should put a resistor between the O/P of U4 and the - input of U2. The actual value depends on the transient response i.e. its response to a step change in load or output voltage of U1. I would suggest a starting point of 100KΩ and 100nF...

Load monitoring for new Extension power cables

Here is a useful site laying out current capacity for wire cross section. https://www.sab-cable.com/cables-wires-harnessing-temperature-measurement/technical-data/cables-and-wires/instructions-for-the-safe-application-of-cables/boundary-condition

Load monitoring for new Extension power cables

Kellys_eye. It's never good practise to use a cable, or anything else for that matter, at its design limits. Equipment running at 110V is always going to draw more current than or (UK) 230V system and requires larger cable to cope.

Hello, can somebody help wich transistor is like bfg520

LTSPICE uses a version of Spice so will probably work. I use Simetrix Elements which is the best simulator I have ever come across. The BF199 is in my model data base. Simetrix Elements is free to down load but has a limitation on the number of nodes. That has only ever been a limiting factor on...

Making a variable power supply variable... (what?)

I have use a similar circuit before and it worked fine. You just need the compensating capacitor to keep it all stable. I seem to remember (from about 10 years ago) the cap was about 100nF. It was on a battery charger for a small piece of medical equipment. And have use similar in a high current...

Hello, can somebody help wich transistor is like bfg520

If your Multisim uses the spice platform, Try the model below. You should be able to copy and paste into you program! From: C:\Program Files (x86)\SIMetrix-SIMPLIS Elements_810\support\Models\bipolar.lb, line 143 *From Philips SC04 "Small signal transistors 1991" and NS Discrete 1978 * Base...

Making a variable power supply variable... (what?)

I think your circuit is unnecessarily complicated. All you need to do is to throw away resistors R1 and R2 and put in their place a single rail to rail opamp (like my favourite the CA3140) and connect the - input to the output of your regulator via a 1KΩ resistor and the + input to your A2D...

Increase the cable cross section to reduce its resistance. Get some that has a current carry capacity that is double the expected load.

Good. So long as it works, that's all that matters.

    Induction Magneto Capacitor

A cap of the same value should be fine. A polypropylene type would be preferable because of their very low dielectric absorption and ability to with withstand high slew rates. Go for the highest voltage type that you can find and fit. Something like 2KV.

JFET Power Amplifier With Output Transformer

If you insist on using an output transformer, you should use the largest one you can get to avoid saturation. Laminated cores are best for lower frequency operation.
