AC Square Wave 10A Power Supply

I have just remembered that my simulator only does 4000 logic series simulations at 5V. The only things that it may affect is the value of R6 and possibly R8. I would suggest trying R6 at 8K2 and R8 at 3K3. I would also advise bread boarding it a stage at a time and check that it works correctly...

Noob seeking circuit advice - if 0v then 2.5v otherwise 0-5v

Having had a further think, the problem is not as simple as at first seems. Every time your motor control goes to 0V in normal circumstance, what ever method you use to prevent the motor running when no signal is received from the transmitter, will be invoked. How are you receiving the...

JFET Power Amplifier With Output Transformer

You still won't produce crossover distortion like that because the output has been biased to class A and AB.

AC Square Wave 10A Power Supply

    Not a problem.

JFET Power Amplifier With Output Transformer

To get crossover distortion you want no quiescent current flowing in the O/P transistors as this means they are biased on. This probably applies to the previous stage as well.

AC Square Wave 10A Power Supply

AS I said in an edit earlier the O/P of U3 should be connected to the O/P of U2. It was a drawing error on my part. R8 should then be in series with the combined U2 and U3 O/P's and the bas of Q2. Feel free with the review drawing.

AC Square Wave 10A Power Supply

U1, C1, R1. Correct. U6 Correct. Dead band: Other way round to your assumption (if I have read it correctly). Each half charges through R2 and R3 which gives the required time constant. The discharge is through D1 and D2 which happens on the negative transitions of U1 and U6. U2, 3, 4 and 5 are...

What happen if I use EMI filter at more then specified current

Not advisable. If you are trying to make something that is compliant with a particular standard then it will probably fail because the filter is not working properly. As Hevans1944 said, you should always de-rate such devices for reliability and correct functioning.

Noob seeking circuit advice - if 0v then 2.5v otherwise 0-5v

You could use an analogue switch such as the DG419 which is 2 switches with a common output. The enabled switch depends on the state of a logic input. You could then use one switch for normal operation and the second to supply 2.5V to the motor controller when the input is 0V. You may need some...

AC Square Wave 10A Power Supply

Try the attached circuit. I will leave you to figure out how it works. But if you struggle come back and I will explain. Look at the graph in conjunction. It shows a gap between the transitions. The circuit allows you to use your original FET configuration. Note that the 40106's are cmos devices...

Noob seeking circuit advice - if 0v then 2.5v otherwise 0-5v

Why don't you simply turn the motor circuit on and off from the transmitter then it is safe.

AC Square Wave 10A Power Supply

Yes and No. In simulation, the circuit runs at 8Khz with a capacitor value of 1nF. With the transistor configuration that you have shown, both devices will be on during the positive to negative and negative to positive transitions resulting in their destruction. You will be better off with a...

    Totally agree.

JFET Power Amplifier With Output Transformer

If there is current flowing in the output transistors, they are biased on which is class AB regardless of what you think, The only time it could not be so is if the current is due to leakage which would be in the order of a few μA. If you want to generate crossover distortion there should be no...

JFET Power Amplifier With Output Transformer

No. Class B has no current flowing in the output stage in a quiescent state. Even a small amount of quiescent current in the output stage makes it Class AB.

    Newly coiled motor burnt out

Yes you are right, I was just being specific to the city. I was born a Londoner and came to the Oxford region 13 years ago via the south coast. That's they way it should be, go where the mood / prospects take you.

    Newly coiled motor burnt out

Yeah I know. Tight arsed employer. I'm located just to the west of Oxford. Beautiful city with a long history. What took you to Canada?
