    looking for a "center-bore" motor

It was just a thought, which is why I posted it as a question and not an option. Optics is not my forte. FYI: The square frame pillow block bearings you posted employ a grease fitting located on the same real estate you're suggesting machining a V groove. You can't see it in the photos but...

Can that be compensated for by using lenses? Chris

Software to control COM or Parallel port pin output

On second thought Hyper Terminal may not be much use on its own because it was basically designed as a DialUp app for intended Modem use. Let me look through my VB6 files. Over the years I wrote quite a few MSComm (Serial Port) programs. I may have one already written that will fill the bill...

    IGBT help needed

The schematic symbols indicates Darlington Transistors not IGBJTs. In your case they're high power HONKERS! I think we can provide you with a basic testing method. Chris

    looking for a "center-bore" motor

After looking at your latest drawing I'm a bit confused as to why you need such a large bore. The drawing seems to indicate that you're only passing a light beam through it. Am I misconstruing that? Chris

    Problem with picaxe 14m2

Hi Devon, I've been away for the last few days partying on a beach. Four days in which I didn't think about uCs, 555s, flip-flops, or anything other than having a damn good time. So that's why it took me so long to reply. Anyway, at this point I don't know what to tell you. The programming...

    IGBT help needed

I'm freaking out over here. Either the IGBJT spice macros that Tina supplies are TFOS or I'm going blind! The DC curves I've I've run have been totally unimpressive. The ON State Vce that I get would fry them in the real world. After simulating 12 models I get results that would have the IGBJT...

    looking for a "center-bore" motor

It would seem apparent that an off shelf solution is not in the cards. Since this is not a commercial endeavor with deep pockets; that leaves only your ability to execute home shop fabrication. Sounds exciting! Get to it. :) Chris

    Problem with picaxe 14m2

Thus far I've been laboring under the impression that your 14M2 was mounted on a Picaxe project board that incorporated the program mode jumper on a female header. I think all the Picaxe project boards employ this header/jumper arrangement. Is this a Picaxe project board or your own home brew...

Help getting my circuit to work - sound card osciloscope calibrator

Well Steve, that was quite an entertaining read. I don't think I've ever seen you so animated. One thing is for sure. If you ever make it over here and we're sharing spirits. I will not introduce my wife Marilynne as a retired "Software Engineer" without first suiting her up in body armor! :p...

First off please understand that no one here gets paid. Help is dispensed free of charge. So please take it in the spirit it is given. The belt longevity issue can't be answered without knowing the load and RPM of same. Even with that it will be based on the manufacturer's specs. Chris
