    Valve (tube) amplifier schematic help

Your preamp would like to see a load of >=100K but I think your preamp will drive the 386 OK. I think the input impedance of the 386 is ~ 50K. If you do have problems you could build this. Chris

    Sweat monitor using electrodes.

Hi Justin. I'm very excited that you're new scope arrived. I'm not feeling to well right now and need to take a break from the PC. This could change in a matter of hours though. ;) Before I take this break I wanted to warn you to never connect the scope's ground clip to anything but...

    Valve (tube) amplifier schematic help

Eli, I'm dead on my butt. I just finished 70% of building a stockade fence in the Florida sun. I can barely move right now but I'll get back to you when I feel better. If I don't respond fast enough maybe Kris will. He's very helpful and more than qualified. ;) 66 year olds should be fishing...

Ohm's Law or not Ohm's Law... That is the question

Yes, you're correct. I stated at the outset that Bob went out of his way to not merely question my original post but to insult me. So I came out of the starting gate p!ssing fire! You may want to read all of it from the beginning. I gave Bob an opportunity to tell me that his post was something...

Ohm's Law or not Ohm's Law... That is the question

The point is that Ohms Law is and can be used to return apparent E, I & R in the course of general design in simple DC or AC circuits, including Inductors. In retrospect I believe this thread is going to be much shorter than I originally anticipated. I see you're a Massachusetts resident...

If I find some time to spice an example for you, I will. For certain, Ohms Law will play a significant roll in what you'll see. Chris

Arcade 110v strobe flasher circuit help

CC I like the concept and I also like Kris's designs. Judging by what wrkey has said in his last post I have a gut feeling that he's going to be happy with just a single 555 that triggers one strobe on the high output and the other strobe when the 555 goes low. He has seemed to lower his sights...

Ohm's Law or not Ohm's Law... That is the question

Before I fire my opening shot I have something to say to the forum. I asked Bob if the tone in his first post was disdainful toward me. He didn't deny it at all. In fact, he escalated his contemptuous tone. So if I seem combative it's not your imagination. I don't turn the other cheek! Before...

Arcade 110v strobe flasher circuit help

CC thanks for taking the time to post that. I thought wrkey wanted each strobe to be random unto itself. Though, as per his last post, he's open to the simplest option. Short of a uC this may be it. Chris

Ohm's Law or not Ohm's Law... That is the question

I suspect this may be a long bloody battle. So out of respect for Eli I request that the mods snip this where it started and move this to its own thread. Then the games can begin. Chris

    uln2003 data sheet question.

To get an accurate measurement you need to bypass the ULN2003 and have that motor under loaded conditions. If it's possible to find yourself in an unexpected stalled condition, that should be tested too. Is this a lathe or mill? Chris

Ohm's Law or not Ohm's Law... That is the question

I may be wrong because some things come across in print quite differently than they were intended but I can't help but read a sense of disdain in your post. So, before I answer your question please answer this.. Is this a challenge? I'm sure that your prostate is in much better shape than mine...

    uln2003 data sheet question.

I thought it would be fun to post the progression of this thread, starting from post 1. Dude22, please note your statement that I've emboldened. It begs this question: What's the current capability of your power supply? You said that your original idea was to replace the PSU with a...
