    Don't think you will get too much gale force wind @ 2 metres off the ground unless you're in a cyclone. I wouldn't be around a windmill in that instance. When reference was made to windmill, I among others were thinking 40 to 50 ft tower.:oops: Maybe the Op comes from the big smoke.:D

    Appears some component/ components might be missing. Seems it's been "got at". Best bet would be to get on to a schematic if possible. Brand is Parmak NOT Permark as in text for model.(might help)

    Why not just remove the transistor all together? Seems not to be operated by anything external. If an interface between two voltages, then a simple relay.

    Go to Ebay and look up easycap usb to dvr converter. Just plug in your camera (yellow) to the converter in place of the receiver shown. Use on a phone here...

    Whatever is the trend, just don't shut down existing systems until it's proven the new arrangement works. Take a look at the South Australian system if you want an example of definitely what NOT to do.
