    High Current DC Switching

Contact bounce. A common thing with all switches. There's plenty of documentation out there on the subject.

Arduino Board for coil winding machine, any code out there?

Large motor like that is a bit extreme . I used a dc gearmotor ( 6 v) off Ebay for about $15 and an old computer power supply. Speed regulated via another Ebay purchased pwm controller. (keeps programming to a minimum) Spindle only needs to turn maybe a max of 5 revs/ sec and no real load given...

    DCC to Arduino adaptor board

Bit confused here. First diagram is an input interface. Second circuit you provided ( the veroboard layout) is an output interface. Perhaps you should start again and explain what you are trying to do.

Arduino Board for coil winding machine, any code out there?

Started the build of the same thing for ignition HV generator coils. Nowhere near finished yet, mainly just the basic layout with frames, guides, leadscrew etc built. There are a few different ones out there but none really suited my needs but good for info. One can pick bits and pieces from all...

    Any French speakers here?

This might be of some help...... Le menu and la formule refer to the fixed-price menu, which includes two or more courses (with limited choices for each) and is usually the cheapest (and in some restaurants, the only) way to eat. The choices may be written on the ardoise (see below) or on a...

    DCC to Arduino adaptor board

Enclosed a drawn circuit. 1N4004 (free wheeling diode) normally used when you have inductive loads such as motors, solenoids etc. Don't refer to the return line as "earth". It is usually more associated with mains power. Positive and Negative are your DC supply rails. As I said earlier, your...

    High Current DC Switching

Reason you have problems is the solenoid is completely shagged. Along with the fact that Chinese GY6 is an elcheapo pos. Note zero contact coating, just bare copper which has discoloured from the heat and likewise effect on the release spring. Cleaning contacts like shown in the video might get...

    DCC to Arduino adaptor board

Connections incorrect. I'll draw up a sketch but it won' t be in this fritzing arrangement. You really need to learn to draw in standard arrangement as then it is much easier to follow. Especially when things get more complex. Edit:- connections correct just very hard to follow like I said.

    High Current DC Switching

So to get things clear, you are switching a solenoid, not the starter motor. And it's now just a short time, not like previously where you said it overheats after sometime?

    High Current DC Switching

That depends on your application. As we cannot see what your application is, then it is difficult or rather, almost impossible to comment. What has been commented on until now is what you have told us, i.e. 12v starter motor and any advise given has been in relation to the general use of the same.
