confused as to why my LED fried.

Also..........................PLN-100-24 is a dedicated LED driver. http://au.rs-online.com/web/p/constant-voltage-led-drivers/6600221/ Next is just a run-of -the-mill plug pack.

Help with a good relay for well pump switch

I'm afraid I have to disagree with you there on inclusion of electrical. Just wondering if you read all the detail on what class 2 signifies as I did not see any mention of galvanic isolation as you claim.

    Ballast fault

What is the lamp and what is it's rating? Balast shows compatible with High pressure sodium or metal hallide 400w. Also wondering if you have ever been around when one of these lamps implode? Obviously not given your test set-up.

Help with a good relay for well pump switch

IF the unit is a non-isolated supply and IF the unit is not installed in an appropriate manner then there is a possibility of a dangerous situation. Suffice to say a woman in Aus was killed by a non-isolated supply type Iphone charger (after-market from who knows where) It blew up while she was...

    Confused by circuit. A to B and B to C implies A to C?

Try redrawing your diagram with a pen and paper. Your circuit references are meaningless. Also what voltage is the battery, what are the Leds, what voltage are they, ??? Sorry, but your video is not much help either as all we can see is the back of your head and the rest is too far away to...

Help with a good relay for well pump switch

There are many devices around which incorporate non-isolated power supplies. One which comes instantly to mind are some types of PhotoElectric cell operated daylight switches. The difference here is , you are taking this (possibly)non-isolated supply outside of it's immediate environment and...

    Underwater Help

No. "Requires 3 AAA batteries – NOT INCLUDED. " Plus I'm assuming it's output is ac, not controlled, no feedback, etc etc. I hinted before at where you might find more information about this, but I guess you missed it. Look for anything on Cathodic Protection, especially with respect to...

    Toro leaf blower motor

They will be a self-centreing bearing and moulded or pressed into the rear bearing housing. We used to replace these in the Hoover constellation vacuum motors but these days, I doubt it. Usually by the time one realises the bearing is shot, so is the armature from poling.

    Underwater Help

Cathodic protection is a rather involved and expensive arrangement especially when one starts running zinc anodes. 50 amp is not a "very low" current in any way or form. Forget portable generators, bad idea.

Help with a good relay for well pump switch

Can you enlighten us on the reason why you believe it is necessary to relocate the pressure tank/ switch in the first place. Very unusual requirement.

    Fluorescent Lamp/Ballast/Starter Help

PL lamps such as this have an internal starter, no need for any external starter. I'd suggest you have the wrong balast type. They are particular.

Help with a good relay for well pump switch

I was referring to the voltage drop over the route length at the maximum motor draw. By my calculations @ 10A there will be approx. 8% drop or 9.5V (not to mention start-up Vd).....I'm assuming OP resides in 110V territory? (always open to correction....) TimF...if you are using a relay in the...

Help with a good relay for well pump switch

As a side note, 300' on 12 g cable at motor full load 10 amp seems a bit on the light side given motors tend to draw quite a bit more at start-up. Curious though why you think it necessary to shift the pressure switch.

    power station question

There is absolutely no place for "thinking about doing something stupid" with respect to any mains connections or devices. This can never be stressed enough and yet there are some that think it might be something they can try. After all, it's only 3 wires, how hard can it be? Best advice , stay...

    power station question

Yes, there were a couple of variations on this but the dark indication was preferred.

    TDA1554 Melting

Well, we are now getting a few bits more of info that may help. Same applies though...no input caps.

    TDA1554 Melting

Anyone's guess just what that USB device might be but it appears to be powered from the pc supply via a regulator near the USB. Without any caps on the input , if that usb device is digital it would have been sending dc of some nature directly into the amp chip. No..??

On my older home security system I want to change the # it dials out

Have you Googled the model number? I did and it came back with many hits on manuals, how to install, how to reset codes etc, etc.
