Hi
I have a dead Roberts Play 10. I found an internal wickman style fuse blown. I shorted across the fuse to see if it would work and it sprang into life. Great I thought. popped a new fuse in and its dead again. This time the fuse is fine. I get 6v out of the small pcb where the DC input and filter choke is mounted but will not switch on. I seen lots of these on eBay selling as faulty with the same problem and so it seems a fairly common issue? Can anyone help with this or know where I can source a schematic? These modern radios are like computers and cant help thinking its locked out and maybe a button pressing procedure to bring it back to life?
Thanks all and thanks for letting me join

hi there - did you have any choice with this question. I have exactly the same issue. There is a short on the main audio board so suspect cap? . That would also explain blown internal fuse!

The power supply should deliver a consistent 6V output. Fluctuations or drops in voltage can prevent the radio from powering on.
