Design of Stepdown transformer 3 Amp 12VDC from 230V AC mains.

Sirs,

Can anyone help me out finding the design parameters required for making a Stepdown transformer of a rated output of 3 Amp/12VDC from 220V AC mains (in India). viz.
AC winding wire turns (swg.), DC winding wire turns (swg), CRGO core type (how to select laminates, which No.), Derive the core area for the rated output, on which the turns depends.
