hi , i am looking for software for my protec 506 rs232 multimeter
does anyone know where to find any?
the stock software is very poor

please help me

The manufacturer of the meter might have something on there homepage, have you checked there?

This might be a long shot, but if you cannot find the software, try to connect with HyperTerminal. Choose the correct commport. Change the baud rate to what it calls for in the manual and be sure to change "flow control" to NONE. Then see what comes to the terminal window. Many industrial devices are made to automatically send data through the RS232 port in this manner. Might work.
