Hey. No particular project in mind, but just mulling the possibilities.
I've scavenged a few motor/wheel assemblies - one from an E-bike, one from an E-scooter. Both delta wind three phase. No specs.
Wondering how to build a controller (Yes, I know potted boxes are available online) over a beer, checking what's at hand, and came up with the following:
I have some bad arse 2Sk2698 N channel FETs in the bin.
I'm thinking totem pole 3p H bridge. Each phase output a totem pole config, the motor phase tap between the 'top' FET's source, and the 'bottom' FET's drain x 3. Obviously three of the FET's gate signals inverted. A 4017 reset on output 3 driven by a triple five to satisfy logic and vary speed should suffice. On paper.
Not looking for efficiency. just proof of concept on the drive stage. If it works, I'll Arduino code a proper modified sine to the FETs.
Most P-P outputs tend to use complimentary silicon, but I see no drunken reason why this wouldn't work.
Anyone want to pat me on the shoulder, or tear me a new one welcome to comment. If the latter, I'll know more than I did.
