I have had my DSC 832 up and running for several months with no
problems but recently we lost power for a short period and now the lcd
keypad shows a General System Tamper. I have unplugged power to
system and waited 30 secs along with unplugging battery but no luck.
Any ideas why this maybe showing up now and how to fix it?

Go into programming, and press 902. Leave it alone for 1 minute. Then press
# to exit programming.

Just tried that as you specified but still having the trouble light

Check to see that the tamper is closed on all your modules.
