Hi!
I'm planning to build the following circuit and
I have some questions about the following project:
http://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/science/006/index.html

Since the LF351 is no longer available, can I use the TL07x series, TL071, TL082, or possibly a LM741, or LM386?

What kind of meter and range do I use?
Or possibly skip this and just use the earphone?

The last one is, what are the pin connections?
THe schematic doesn't show the pin #'s.

thanks very much!!

It is such a simple circuit that it will work with any opamp. An LM386 is a power amplifier with a pre-determined gain, not an opamp, and the circuit won't have enough gain with it.

The project doesn't say anything about the meter. It is driven by the 10k resistor with a few volts, so a 200uA meter will work.

What do you expect to hear? Lots of mains hum.

Look on the datasheet for the opamp.

" Are you a ghost hunter? Then this is the circuit that you've been waiting for! Since it has been observed that appearance of a ghost tends to disturb the EMF, you can now detect any such changes with this little detector."

I think we are hunting ghosts with this meter
