Hitachi LCD Rear Projection TV - blue dot on screen

Our above TV is almost 2 yrs old and it has developed one little blue dot on
the screen, visible only on a black background. Is this a sign of a bigger
problem on its way? Is it something we should be fixing? Would appreciate
any input. Thx.

Failed pixel, nothing to worry about, and nor does it indicate more are on
the way. These can develop within warranty, and the manufacturer won't touch
them until they become numerous enough to affect the picture, which would
depend on their warranty.

As your TV is likely out of warranty anyway, ignore it and rest easy.
