How to convert RGB video to composite/svideo?

I assumed this would be a simple thing to do, but havent found any
easy way to do it on google , without expensive specialised video
chips.

Is there a simple way (using off the shelf components) to recombine
the RGB signal into composite video?

Do you know if Dick smith/jaycar or any other local store has them ??

Judging by my local Dick Smith Power House, they are no longer
in the business of selling electronic components, and now
look just like Harvey Norman.

[Seems like typical bean counting. Stocking electronic components
is fidly, has higher overheads, and less profit than selling
plasma TV's and vacuum cleaners, so get rid of them. It's
harder of course to count the effect on the level of patronage.]

I'm sure Radio Parts and Jaycar will be happy.
