I have a Samsung Syncmaster B2230HD which, after a period of about 2-3 minutes unplugged, will turn on and display the menu. After being on between 5-10 minutes it will go into "Sleep" mode and will not turn back on until it is unplugged again for a few minutes (though the LED power indicator says that it is on, there is no picture). When I get the menu to display, that is all that will display, tried with multiple sources of input both on the monitor (both HDMI ports, RGB/Analog PC input,) as well as sources from two PC's and a phone. No picture is ever displayed.
I took it apart looked at it, everything looks normal except what I think is called a ceramic capacitor. Where the leads meet the base of the capacitor is some auburn/amber colored bubbly, but solid "stuff." I think this indicates a leak and needs replacing.
I can make out from the text on the picture below is the model number DA222M DIC which when google'd leads me to a Korean manufacturer . I can also make out 250w (250 Watts I would think) and 1627K (no idea on this one). There is nothing printed on the reverse side.
Any advice on the cause of the issue I'm having, what the numbers/characters mean, the capacitor and/or where to find another would be great!
