Juke box repair..

I was called out to check this huge juke box after a engineer sparked the main power supply board in front of the owner and left it humming and not much else!

He left red faced and a juke box sitting there for 3 months.

Mmm so let's get stuck in and power it up and all that could be heard was a very loud humming in the speakers, so a on wards and up wards...


My list of findings showed both amplifiers with shorted, fried reg circuit and popped filter caps and burnt feed resistors etc.

Some how even the jumper link plugs had been moved that operates the cd selection system..what the hell happened here???

The good news after many hours of sorting the blinking mess out and plenty of fff's and fully working juke box that filled the air with rich full sounding music.

MMMMMMMM an 'ole Fertilizer . . .ERSATZ 1015 knock off with all the bubbly lights.
He's gots to watch outs for all of those "Engine -Ears " what are REALLY only wanna -be engineers.
AND this one NOT being a REAL 1015 original unit, with its tubes audio technology and mechano-mechanism, vice this one being evolved with CD's and SS electronics.

This one was imported from the states with step up transformer for 230 v ac operation.

It's up to people in there choice of audio gear they wish to buy.

And this fella wanted this unit! But did not expect some unskilled tech with baked beans for brains to charge him for messing up he's imported juke machine up in front of him!!
