We had a recent discussion about how it is ok for highly-paid people
to speed, since the value of their time should be factored into the
cost of travel. What amount of time should be spent looking for a sub-
dollar part?

If that happened to be the lone PIN diode you just unsoldered from a
client's proto board and you don't have any in stock, a whole lot of
time needs to be spent. The alternative is a 2-3 day wait for the Fedex
truck.

The time is inversely proportional to how many spares you have on
hand.

Well, they already get away with shit by bribing cops and stuff. What
they should do is make a law that if they do speed, they're forbidden
to wear a seat belt or have a driver's side air bag:

You suck so bad, you suck at sucking.

As opposed to you, Dimbulb, who excels at sucking. Been to any good
bath houses lately?

I'm not sure what it is. I believe it's some kind of man-made
material. It's nice in that they form the baseboards as well, so
mop-up is super clean.

Install a floor drain and just hose the room down. ;-)

Years ago, when my sons were teenagers, I did exactly that... tiled
floor, walls, ceiling, with floor drain ;-)

That probably depends on how many spares you have handy.

Ofcourse, but is it worth spending 10 minutes searching in order to
retreive a component which is worth next to nothing?

Perhaps it takes a true dolt ten minutes.

Try using a blacklight wand.

Depends on how many of that value you bought to hedge against your being
stupid enough to drop one to begin with.
