I would like to be able to control up to 8 24v 1.2A/coil stepper motors, although I may down grade the torque requirements so I can use smaller rated motors.
I have had a look at Arduino solutions & have successfully blown 1 Adafruit Arduino motor shield.
I was thinking of setting up an I2C network of individual drivers which would allow me some leeway with different rated motors. Then controlling the network with an Arduino.
Is such a thing feasible?
DISCLAIMER: I'm not a complete noob but probably fall below intermediate when it comes to electronics. I appreciate that I will have to learn a lot.
