pc reset/led/hd cables..

I'm looking for a place that sells just the little black (jumper size) connectors for motherboards, so i can run a cable from the LED power out or for that matter anything (with header pins) ..

but can i find these? no .. is there a proper name for them? I have a relay with 5 header pins, so it's a choice of finding those pc type connectors (reset/power/hd/reset/etc) but all i can find are prebuilt cables with reset switch at the end or an LED at the end, i just want 10-20 connectors with cables i can feed straight into a breadboard from pc or any pcb..

but i can't find them at all, anyone seen them? i don't mind bulk buying if the price is right, i'll eventually use them.

i just want a few "1" pin only connectors (+) (-) or 2 pins (reset), those the type i mean and i'm not sure what you call them to go find them... thanks, ideally the 1 pin type are better because i can them use them as jump wire.

Something like this may be more flexible. It is probably cheaper than buying the sockets.

female headers is what I found them under on digikey. You will have to specify wire crimp style and the pitch. etc.

Could you post a link to one of them jackorocko?

I looked up female headers and only found the female versions with pins for PCB mounting.

I couldn't find the ones which crimp on to wires (which incidentally often require a special and expensive tool)

I dodged the "name this part" question because I couldn't find them when I used that name to search for them!

Incidentally, those Chinese sources also provide the opposite, a set of connectors with pins on each end that are suited for connecting header sockets on boards to breadboards. I have a number of them, several which have already been sacrificed for small flying leads on little projects (which is why I thought of them for this)
