Dear All,

Please provide me schematics of SMPS with part No. HF100-SB-13.8, it is needed very badly.

The issue with this SMPS is below mentioned:

I am trying to repair SMPS with part No. HF100W-SB-13.8.

This SMPS can give O/Ps in two ways- first when connect AC mainsto it ( which is working fine i.e we get the required O/P when we connect AC mains to it)secondly when battery is connected it should give the required O/P (which it is not giving).

P.S.

1) I dont have schematics of this SMPS.
2) Was not able to find data sheet of Transistor with marking on it as "K 940".
3) This SMPS comes in two types - one in which two separate comprators (part No. LM393) are used and secondely in which one comparator (part no. LM393N) is used.
4) The problem is found in only SMPS having two comparators.

Please advise.
Regards

Sanjay

probably very difficult to obtain a schematic. I havent had much success with similar SMPS's and ended up drawing my own schematic for several supplies.
You may have to do the same.

So what are the symptoms ?
What happens when you connect the battery to it ?
have you opened it up to see if there are any burnt components, bulging capacitors etc ?

the transistor that has K940 on it is probably a 2SK940 depending on the case style

cheers

I have opened it, but found no burnt components.

When battery is connected to it, it gives no O/P.

What I have noticed that relay is not getting activated/switched from NC to NO as we connect battery to it.

K 940 is connected at one end of the coil and if I short externally pins 1 and 2 of this transistor, relay is activated and we get the O/P.

I have tried to draw the schematics, but was not successful.

please advise
