What is this mini-device?

I found this tiny divide in my kitchen, and I am wondering what it is. I'm sure it came off one of my appliances, but which one, and will losing it cause the device to break if not replaced? I have a large blender, a smaller blender, and a coffee make in the area, and a dishwasher is right below the counter in this picture.

Concerning the device itself, the cylinder at the top of it is connected to a spring that screws into the middle of it almost all the way to the end. That spring is broken near the top, but the nature of the break makes it possible to pull the whole spring out and then to screw it back in.

The device's dementions are: 26/32" x 11/32" x 7/32".

Can anyone tell me what this is?

It looks like some part of a push switch/button.
Have you got an appliance missing a button?.

Looks like a spring loaded tensioner.

I'd look at the bottom of your larger blender.
There's likely another one close to where that one came from.

Given that it's spring loaded, it may have flew all the way across your kitchen.
