    transistor off

will post a schematic in a day.
  2. where can i get info on these?

    transistor off

anything go's, i have two irf530's waiting to be used but i don't want to go it alone :D
  4. i'd get the 150in1 kit first, make sure you buy it new.

    transistor off

anyone want to build a one transistor amp for headphones? i mostly to compare notes. rules would be you can do anything but you can have only 1 active device (either a mosfet or bjt), no op-amps allowed. i'd like everone to agree on one type of transistor (something generic) but thier probably not a good chance that everyone has the same types but if so that would be great. :D what do ya think?
  6. 40%, i don't what your doing i can get under 1% without even trying, i've seen 1 transisitor amps that got .01 thd.
  7. but the distortion will be mostly 2nd order so it will still sound good ;D
  8. he wants to change how long the led stay so you need to calculate the rc time constant, put a on capacitor on vo+ to ground, it will determine how long the transistor stays on for, also when the .47uf cap is down to .6v it's going to cause intermittent operation (a series of rapid clicks at the relay) so it needs a high value resistor going from base to ground so that it has a sharp cutoff.
  9. sorry i should have said that differently, keep the ir diodes on without the 555, measure vo on the detector and make sure that you have the detector in a black tube away from outside light and you'll find the problem. you need a 2200uf cap in front of that regulator if your going to use a relay like that.
  10. that circuit needs some work, i'd trash it and start from scratch.
  11. forward active mode? active mode = amp type circuit, between the cutoff and saturation mode. forward = the voltage flow in the base emitter junction.
  12. buy a comparable device and read the tags.
  13. i recommend mb quarts, and a cheap spl meter and test cd you can use the on board eq to adjust to taste.
  14. more like $30 and up per chip, you have to make you own optics assembly also.
