multiplier

A multiplier is a great way of producing a DC voltage with a sinewave input. I even think the multiplier unlike the charge pump can deliver straight to the load at the peak of the cycle. This means that the output current can be higher and a heavy load will just affect the voltage you are able to obtain. It is not often desireable, but it has it's applications. You can even use increased voltage level offset of the AC if you desire. If your load is constant and you get the voltage you desire, then everything is alright. You don't have to worry about the integrity of the voltage. If the load changes like most do, then the voltage will rise and fall and you will need to regulate it.
