ante Posted July 1, 2005 Report Share Posted July 1, 2005 Hi Bob,Welcome to our forum.If you got DC output you need a switched DC/DC converter or you will get heat losses. Try to find one ready built, they are not easy to construct from scratch when 40 A is involved. You might find one that they use for electric forklifts they sometimes have an adjustable output 12 – 14.5 V. Electric forklifts with 48V battery have converters which runs at 32 to 60 Volts input.
