I just just wanted to say hi
I am a noob here trying to figure out how to get started in electronics as a hobby.
So any and all direction is welcomed. Anyone know a good place to start for a newbie like myself? :)

A good start is to click the link at the top of the page titled "Projects". There are lots of projects in this section which will give you "hands on" experience.

Have Fun!

Hi newguy,

Welcome to our forum.

To get started in electronics you can  download six excellent free books by Tony R. Kuphaldt. These covers DC, AC, Semiconductors, Digital, Reference, and Experiments.
They can be found here: http://www.ibiblio.org/obp/electricCircuits/

Oh, and don’t try to read them all the first day! ;D
