ante
Hi alockrem,Welcome to our forum.First; what color are your LEDs?
alockrem
Thanks for the response.I bought a variety pack from Radio Shack. The color I chose to use was red.I got it working. My problem was the resistor was incorrect. There could have been more than 1 problem, but when I started over again with the correct resistor it worked.I'm hooked now. Unfortunately for you all, that means I will be sticking around and asking a lot more questions.
ante
Hi alockrem,Great, it works! The reason I asked about the color was that it might be a blue or a white LED which have a voltage drop higher than your two AA cells can supply. The red LED will have about 2.0 V drop and work fine (with the correct resistor) from your two cells.I am glad you are hooked on electronics now! ;D
