zhiling0229
Hi guys,I'm a newbie. I'm working on an amplifier for my photodiode project.I was wondering which has better performance a general purpose op-amp with a feedback loop or a trans-impedance amplifier or is there a much better way to amplify the current?I'm open to any suggestions. audioguru
Hi Zhiling,Welcome to our forum. ;DI got these photodiode circuits from somewhere.
zhiling0229
Thanks audio guru. But it looks kind of complex. ;DI will be using a UV photodiode which the wavelength is from 200nm to 320nm therefore the frequency will be in THz. I don't think i can filter it using the circuit. Here are the two circuits that I plan to used circuit 1 is using a general op-amp and second one is using a transimpedance amplifier. both will require to produce output in the range of 0 to 2 V(max) and the photodiode will produce a maximum of 11.47uA. Please comment on the circuit. Thanks
audioguru
I can't read the frequency. Are you modulating the IR beam and need to filter it? A 741 opamp doesn't work very well above 9kHz, use a newer opamp with a much higher frequency response.
zhiling0229
hi audio guru,I am not performing any modulation but I will be using my operational amplifier as a current to voltage converter. converting a maximum of 11.4 uA to a maximum of 2V.Do you any operational amplifier that requires a maximum of
